All-on-4 in Turkey vs Albania: What the Two Quotes Actually Buy

Compare all on 4 in Turkey vs Albania and the first surprise is that we are the more expensive country on paper. Published Turkish figures for a full arch on four implants run €3,000–5,000; ours is €5,000–7,000 per arch. Neither figure means anything until you know which bridge it ends with, how many trips it covers and who screws it in. Read as complete treatments rather than as headline numbers, the two totals usually finish much closer together, and sometimes the Albanian one finishes lower.

What the price should contain In our €5,000–7,000 per arch What to verify in any cheaper quote
Four implants, one arch included, system named on the plan which system, and is the abutment separate
Extractions of the remaining teeth included when the plan lists them often billed per tooth on the day
Temporary bridge fitted during the surgical visit included sometimes the only bridge in the price
Final bridge after healing included, material stated frequently a separate invoice on the second trip
CBCT, planning and the surgical guide included sometimes charged as imaging
Second visit for the final bridge included in the plan and the price rarely priced up front
Bone graft or sinus lift if the scan calls for it €200–400 or €500–800, on the plan before you fly a same-day surprise
Written guarantee 5 years fixture, 5 years bridge ask for the conditions in writing

Send a panoramic X-ray and a photograph of your smile and bite. You will receive a written full-arch plan that names the implants, the temporary, the final bridge material and the price of each, before you commit to a date.

Why the Albanian number is often the higher one

Three things push our figure above the cheapest Turkish package. First, the final bridge is in it. A full arch priced at the bottom of the €3,000–5,000 band commonly covers the surgery and an acrylic temporary, with the definitive bridge quoted later. Second, the second visit is in it, including the fittings and adjustments that visit needs. Third, one surgeon carries the case from the scan to the final screw, which costs more per hour than a rota.

We would rather publish one number that ends with a finished arch than a smaller one that ends with a temporary. The full breakdown of what moves our figure inside its range, and what both arches come to, is on the All-on-4 cost page.

The temporary bridge is not the finished job

On the day of surgery you leave with teeth. That bridge is deliberately provisional: acrylic, softer, designed to be adjusted while the gum settles and the four implants integrate over 4–6 months. It looks good in a photograph on the way to the airport, which is exactly why it can be mistaken for the end of treatment.

The final bridge is made after healing, on a mouth that has changed shape. If a quote does not state the material of that bridge, you do not yet have a price. Ours states it, and the choice between acrylic on a titanium bar and full zirconia is explained on the All-on-4 treatment page along with who each suits.

Two trips, and how each country schedules them

Stage Days in Tirana When
Planning, CBCT, written plan 0, done remotely from your X-ray before you book a flight
Surgery, four implants, temporary bridge 5–7 days trip one
Healing and integration 0 4–6 months at home
Final bridge, fitting and adjustment 3–5 days trip two

Ask any clinic in either country for this table with their own numbers in it. What you are testing is not speed but honesty: a clinic that plans two trips on paper has priced two trips. A three-day full-arch visit exists, and it ends with a temporary.

Adding travel to the comparison

Flights change the sums more than most patients expect, because a full arch means two return trips per arch and at least one of them with a companion for the surgical week. Tirana is roughly 3 hours from London, 3h15 from Manchester and 3h30 from Dublin, and the airport is 17 km from the centre, about 25 minutes by car. No visa is needed for UK, Irish, EU, US, Canadian or Australian citizens for stays under 90 days.

Put both quotes in a single column that includes: the surgical trip, the second trip, the final bridge, any grafting, transfers and the nights you will actually stay. Then compare. That is the only comparison that can be wrong in your favour rather than against you.

Both arches, and the cases where six implants are the answer

Two full arches are not simply double the work, because the surgery happens in one session and the planning is shared, but they are close to double the materials and laboratory time. Our per-arch figure is €5,000–7,000, and upper and lower together are quoted as a single plan rather than by multiplication.

Where the upper jaw is soft or the bite is heavy, four implants may not be the right prescription at any price, and six is not a premium upgrade but a different indication. The scan decides. That distinction, and the way we test it on your CBCT, sits alongside the fifteen questions on how to choose a dental clinic abroad, which include the ones worth asking about full-arch planning specifically.

When Turkey is the right choice for a full arch

If your teeth are already gone, the bone is generous, you want the fastest possible route to a fixed temporary and your budget stops at the low end of the band, the largest Turkish package clinics do this many times a week and will do it competently. If your city has a direct flight to Istanbul and none to Tirana, count that twice, because you are flying twice. And if a relative in Turkey can put you up for the surgical week, no clinic pricing can beat that.

Where we would argue for Tirana: a jaw that needs grafting, an arch you want in zirconia, a second opinion on whether all your teeth really need to come out, or a case where you want the person who operated to be the person you write to in three years. If your comparison is about single implants rather than arches, the broader country-by-country read is on the Tirana and Istanbul comparison.

FAQ

How much does All-on-4 cost in Turkey compared with Albania?

Published Turkish ranges for a full arch on four implants are €3,000–5,000. Ours is €5,000–7,000 per arch and includes the four implants, the extractions listed on the plan, the temporary bridge, the final bridge, the CBCT and planning, and the second visit. Set against the £12,000–25,000 quoted privately in the UK, both countries save a great deal; between the two, compare the bridge material and the number of trips before you compare the totals.

Can I have the final bridge on the first trip?

No, not as a definitive result. The four implants need 4–6 months of integration before they can safely carry a rigid final bridge, and the gum shape changes during that time, so a bridge fitted in week one would not fit in month five. You leave the surgical visit with a temporary bridge you can eat softly with, and you return for 2–3 days for the finished one. Anything sold as a one-week full arch is a temporary.

Why would I pay more in Albania than in Turkey?

Because of what is inside the price rather than where the clinic is. Our figure ends with a final bridge, includes the second visit, and puts one surgeon on the whole case from the surgery to the final fitting. Cheaper full-arch packages anywhere commonly price the surgical stage and the temporary, then quote the definitive bridge separately. Ask both clinics to send a plan that lists the final bridge, its material, and the date and days of the second trip, then compare.

How many days do I need in Tirana for a full arch?

Five to seven days for the surgical visit, so there is time for the scan review, the surgery itself and the fitting and adjustment of the temporary bridge before you fly. then 2–3 days on the second visit, 4–6 months later, for the final bridge. We book both sets of dates when the plan is agreed, so the second trip is a diary entry rather than an afterthought, and flights can be bought early.

Do extractions cost extra during full-arch surgery?

The extractions we can see on your X-ray and CBCT are listed on the plan and included in the quoted figure. A tooth that fractures during removal, or a root fragment that the scan could not show, is the one category of extra work that can appear on the day, and it is discussed with you before it is done.

Send your X-ray through the quote form with a note of which arch concerns you. The dentist who will treat you plans the case and you receive a written full-arch quote, with both trips dated, by e-mail within 24 hours.
